Gidoen Schools was founded in 1974 as a vision of Reverend Folorunsho Husswin and Reverend Mrs Elizabeth Husswin in their love and interest to care for children. The school’s motto IN GOD WE TRUST was the inspiration as they travelled then on their missionary journey around the world preaching the Gospel.
The secondary arm of the school was given birth to in 1988 out of the demand of parents/guardians who became great commendations from the successes in the international school.
Fourty students started the secondary school in 1988/1989 academic session. The first WAEC examination in the school was taken in 1993 with excellent results in all subjects.
In Gideon Comprehensive High School the focus is on improving the creative and innovative minds and abilities of students. Striving at promoting science and technological knowledge and skills of students for individual and national life and the world at large. According to Bob Beauprez “education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students, and enthusiastic parents with high expectation.”
